In total lunar eclipse moon turns completely red and brighter compared to usual days. So that’s why people also call it super moon or super blood moon.

What is the difference between lunar eclipse and total lunar eclipse?

Actually whether it’s total lunar eclipse or partial one it all depends upon how much of the moon’s face passes through the dark, umbra shadow of the earth. If there is a point where the entire moon is in that shadow, then the eclipse is total. If anything less than the entire moon passes through the umbra shadow then the eclipse is partial.
