Travelers going to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from India, even those who have been in India for the last two weeks will not be able to avail the facility of “Visa-On-Arrival”. UAE’s state-run airline company Etihad Airways gave this information. However, not much information has been given about the reason behind this decision.

In response to a user’s query, Etihad Airways, the state-run airline company of UAE, said in a tweet, “The UAE authorities have temporarily extended the visa on arrival facility for passengers arriving from India or staying in India for more than 14 days. The UAE Embassy website states, “Indian nationals holding a US visa, green card, UK residence permit or EU residence permit along with a regular passport are allowed to obtain a visa at the time of entry into the UAE. . Its validity will be for 14 days. It can be extended once for another 14 days. The validity of Indian passport should be at least 6 months.”
