China Maldives Friendship Bridge

The China Maldives Friendship Bridge, also known as the Cinamale Bridge, is a 2-kilometre-long bridge connecting the city of Male with the island of Hulhule. This popular bridge was constructed to strengthen the bond between China and Maldives. The project was started in 2014 and has been completed in July 2018. The project worth US$ 200 million is one of the most progressive projects in Maldives, with about 6 lanes up to the bridge. These bridges are dedicated to bicycles, pedestrians, motorcycles etc.
