India on Friday reported the lowest rise in covid-19 cases with 1.73 lakh new Covid cases added in 24hrs. This is the lowest daily spike in 45 days. Even though this is alarming surge of increasing covid-19 cases in the country we should also note that this is second consecutive day when less than 2 lakh cases have been registered.
The government on Friday reiterated that it aims to vaccinate the entire country by the end of this year. In fact to give further details about it Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said “The Health Ministry has given a blueprint. 108 crore people – with 216 crore doses – will be vaccinated by December”.
We should also note that the government is looking for import of vaccines for “swift vaccination of entire population” Health ministry tweeted on Friday.
Meanwhile there are some states that are planning to ease out covid-19 restriction like Maharastra, Delhi etc. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that his government will ease the curbs in a phased manner. Even Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also said that his government will start unlocking the city gradually from Monday.
Lastly as the country is witnessing continuous increase in the covid-19 cases this can be seen a relief for many people.
