Features of Somnath Temple
It took five years for the construction of the temple. The peak of the temple is 150 feet high. On the top of the temple there is a Kalash which weighs 10 tonnes. This temple is spread over the entire 10 kilometer and there are 42 more temples in it. Inside the main temple is the sanctum sanctorum, sabhamandapam and dance mandapam. On the south side of the temple there is a pillar on the sea side which is known as Banastambha.

Railways:
The nearest railway station to reach here is Veraval. It is also connected by rail with Mumbai, Ahmedabad and other cities of Gujarat.
Airways:
The nearest airport to reach here is Rajkot, which is 63 km away from the temple. It is followed by Porbandar airport at a distance of 120 km and the third airport is Rajkot at a distance of 160 km.
