Due to continuous decline of covid19 cases in the state. Maharstra government is planning to begin the unlocking process in the state in a phased manner allowing more relaxation to the shops and establishment of non essential commodity.
According to The Times of India, the government is planning to allow the re-opening of services and sectors from June 1st onwards. But the officials the relief may not be extended to all districts.
If reports to be believed then the state government is also likely to increase attendance in government offices. Currently only 15% employees are allowed in public offices.
Also government may allow more relaxation to the areas outside the “red zone”. Currently red zone areas are Buldhana, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Yavatmal, Amravati, Sindhdurg, Solapur, Akola, Satara, Washim, Beed, Gadchiroli, Ahmednagar and Osmanabad.
Nevertheless this step welcomed by many people in the state who were waiting for the state to get back to normalcy.
