The world-famous Taj Mahal, which was closed due to the outbreak of the second wave of the epidemic, is ready to be seen again from Wednesday, but due to anti-Covid rules, it will not be able to gather more than 650 tourists at a time. District Magistrate PN Singh has issued an order saying that no more than 650 tourists will be allowed to enter the Taj Mahal, which is going to open from June 16, after the decrease in the cases of Covid-19. It is noteworthy that along with the Taj Mahal in Agra, all the monuments including Agra Fort, Sikandra are going to open from tomorrow. Due to the second wave of the epidemic, all monuments in Agra, including the Taj Mahal, were closed for tourists on 16 April.

 

The cases of epidemic are decreasing continuously. The decision to open other monuments including the Taj Mahal from Wednesday has brought hope among the people associated with the tourism business, who have been in despair for two months. On Tuesday, all other monuments including the Taj Mahal were disinfected. Shopkeepers were also seen making preparations to welcome the tourists at the eastern gate of the Taj Mahal. Tourists will be allowed to enter the monuments in limited numbers for now. Ticket windows will remain closed and tickets will be booked online. Along with this, rules like thermal screening, mask, and physical distance will have to be strictly followed. Basant Kumar Swarnkar said that all the monuments including the Taj Mahal have been disinfected and the guidelines of the Ministry of Home and Health will be followed in the monuments.

 

The closure of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort on April 16 due to the pandemic has dealt a major blow to the tourism industry of Agra. Now the monuments are being reopened from June 16 after the havoc of Corona subsided.
