Dhuandhar Falls of Bhedaghat

The Dhuandhar Falls of Bhedaghat is situated in the course of Narmada, one of the two rivers originating from Amarkantak. Where the Narmada River flows slowly through the tall marble cliffs and falls down like a mighty waterfall at a distance known as Dhuandhar. Due to the abundance of marble, the water falling from the white hills gives a smoke-like aura, due to which it is called Dhuandhar Falls. Moonlight creates a magical effect on nights. Given its beauty, it is also called Niagara Falls of India.

Nature lovers can also enjoy a boat ride to this place from November to May as boating in the moonlit night through the marble rocks will surely give you a memorable experience. A ropeway or cable car is also available here which provides an unforgettable experience of witnessing the wonders and enchanting views of nature through the gorge.

Mowgli’s Jungle – Pench

Pench Tiger Reserve, located in the city of Shivni in Madhya Pradesh, is also known for its special character Mowgli in children’s stories. It is said that Rudd Yard Kipling had made the Pench Tiger Reserve the plot of his stories for his book The Jungle Book, which featured Mowgli’s character.

Today Madhya Pradesh is famous for its tangible heritage and on one hand it is also known for the abundance of wildlife. Pench has been mentioned not only in modern times but also in medieval history shows, especially in the book Ain-e-Akbari written by Abul Fazl, it has been mentioned that beautiful places like Pench in Akbar’s empire are also mentioned.
